Acceptable Use Policy

This is a template, not legal advice. This policy is a starting point drafted for Credufy Voice and has not been reviewed by a Nigerian lawyer. Do not rely on it commercially until qualified counsel has reviewed it.

This policy sets out what you may and may not do with Credufy Voice, including voice cloning and Voice Studio. It exists to protect the people whose voices pass through our platform, and to keep the service usable for everyone. Violating this policy is a breach of our Terms of Service and may result in immediate suspension.

Voice cloning — what is prohibited

You must never clone a voice without the explicit, informed consent of the person whose voice it is. This applies even if the recording is publicly available. Consent covers use for the purpose you state at cloning time — it is not a blanket licence for any future use.
  • Impersonation — cloning a real person's voice to pose as them without their consent, including public figures, colleagues, or family members.
  • Fraud — using a cloned voice to deceive someone into a financial transaction, authentication bypass, or disclosure of confidential information.
  • Harassment — cloning a voice to intimidate, mock, or harm a specific individual.
  • Misleading content — presenting AI-generated speech as a real recording of someone speaking words they never said, without clear disclosure that it is synthetic.
  • Cloning a minor's voice without verifiable parental or guardian consent.

General platform misuse

  • Attempting to bypass rate limits, plan limits, or authentication controls.
  • Reverse-engineering or scraping the service to build a competing product.
  • Using the platform to generate content that is unlawful, defamatory, or that infringes another party's rights.
  • Automated abuse, including excessive concurrent sessions intended to degrade service for other users.
  • Reselling API access without a separate written agreement with us.

Reporting misuse

If you believe your voice has been cloned without your consent, or you have encountered content generated through Credufy Voice that violates this policy, email hello@credufy.com with as much detail as possible. We investigate reports promptly and can suspend the offending account and remove the associated cloned voice while we investigate.

Enforcement

We may suspend or terminate an account, remove content, or revoke a cloned voice at our discretion where we reasonably believe this policy has been violated. Serious violations, including fraud or non-consensual impersonation, may also be reported to law enforcement.
